WHAT IS &SABEEL?

An empowering, women-only fitness program designed to help you build healthy habits in a supportive and modest environment. Over 6 weeks, we meet 3 times in person, all while connecting through a vibrant online community on Discord. With no music, just uplifting Nasheeds, our classes focus on caring for your body, which is an Amanah (trust) from Allah, so you can perform your duties with strength and vitality. Join us in this journey to health, community, and purpose.

No matter your current fitness level, &Sabeel welcomes all women just as they are. Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or looking to build on your progress, this program is designed to meet you where you are.

At the end of 6 weeks, you’ll
experience real growth: increased strength, a solid exercise habit, and a rhythm that aligns with your lifestyle. You’ll feel more connected to your body and empowered with tools to continue pursuing your fitness and wellness goals. Most importantly, you’ll have built lasting habits that support your health and wellbeing.

OUR PROVEN METHOD

 

This program includes three weekly in-person workouts and resources expertly designed by our trainers to build strength, improve cardiovascular fitness, and develop lasting habits.

Includes:

  • 3 coached sessions/week

  • Private online community and connection with other participants and trainer in Discord

  • Nutrition support

  • Workout guide, with lifetime access

  • Helpful tips, exercise breakdowns, motivational notes, and Q&A with your trainer

  • Discussion and accountability with your program group

Note: all sessions are hosted at &Fitness, a private boutique fitness studio in the Maple Lawn neighborhood in Howard County

Meet the Trainer

السلام عليكم Alsalam Alykum (Peace be upon you). My name is Heba Asfari, a NASM-certified personal trainer with a degree in Cognitive Science from Johns Hopkins University. I’ve always loved staying active, whether it’s through exploring different training styles, cooking, baking, and doing hands-on activities. My passion for fitness began in 2018, and since then, I’ve been on a mission to help women move confidently and feel their best. I’m committed to creating a space where women can train modestly without the discomfort that often comes with mixed-gender environments, so they can focus on what truly matters—becoming stronger, healthier, and more resilient.

About the &Sabeel Program

Q:  I’m still a beginner and don’t know how to exercise. Will I feel welcomed or intimidated?

A: We pride ourselves in being experts in working with beginners and those returning to regular movement after a break. For every exercise, we offer both progressions and modifications, ensuring that you can work at your own pace. Our staff is here to support you every step of the way.

Q: How many times per week are the classes held?

A: This program includes 3 sessions per week expertly designed by our trainers to help you build strength, improve cardio, and develop lasting habits. Along with these guided workouts, you’ll receive nutritional tips and practical strategies to seamlessly integrate healthy routines into your lifestyle for real, sustainable results.

Q:  What will I be getting out of this program?  

A: The program consists of 3 in-person sessions per week. You’ll get access to all workout routines, nutrition tips, recipe ideas, community chats, and motivational channels—all on a private Discord.

Q: What can I expect by the end of the 6-week program? 

A: By the end of the program, you’ll have built healthy habits, increased your strength, and developed resilience and discipline. You’ll be equipped with the tools to continue your health journey, feeling stronger and more confident than ever.

Q: What if I move/become injured/cannot complete the program?

A: We will miss you! We want to support you, so please contact us ASAP if a conflict arises and we will prorate your registration for a future or alternative program.

Q:  Is this program women-only?

A: Yes, this program is exclusively for women.

Q:  Will there be music playing?

A: No, we’ll be playing Nasheeds instead. Some sessions may be held in silence to help develop mental resilience.

Q:  Is there a dress code?

A: We require modest attire—no sports bras or shorts.

Q: Can I take off my hijab to work out? 

A: Yes, our exercise room is camera-free, so feel free to do what’s most comfortable for you.

Q: Is there a camera in the gym?

A: No, our gym space is camera-free.

Q: Can I bring a guest?

A: We always want to welcome guests, if our program enrollment allows. More info to come.

Q: Do I need to register for the program? How do I sign up for the classes?

A: Yes, due to limited space you must pre-register for the group you want to join. Once you join and pay, you'll automatically be enrolled in the sessions of your program.
